Hey Gents, Yesterday Hades made the decision to leave ATW, the reasons were voted on in out Senate, they are as follows:
Hades loses members weekly due to torment from sm,apex,pk,gotw
The senate dont believe a long drawn out war will help us at all
We cannot Train or recruit new members due to losing them because of the flaming in the lobby, as a new clan i think we went into war way too quick before establishing a good solid member base, and untill we do we cannot be involved with ATW this is nothing at all to do with Hell as i have a lot of friends in Hell and would like to hopefully remain friends, as were not in ATW i suspect we cant be Allies but as i said hopefully we can at least be friendly in the lobby, i am still allied with Mercs and RC but dont take this as a betrayle i am not joining or supporting SM and Apex, i just think for the future of my clan we need to pull out of ATW we have lost way too much. anyway thanks for hearing me out, ill keep an eye out for a reply, -Const-

Just wondering, are you guys still planning on joining the VoR coalition? Evo mentioned on the RCC that you were, but only ]HELL[Myrmidon has joined the in-game clan so far....

I think the Shogun people are discussing this at the moment. Do you have a current list of the people currently in VoR and who will be joining? Because it seems that not many people are in it at the moment. Also what is the structure like in terms of positions and stuff.

Sith have joined, all of TAoW who are interested in the campaign have joined, and GERUDO have joined. LoTW, (a german clan led by ex-hemispheres) have also expressed interest, although they are holding off their decision untill VoR reaches their tier. Discussions are also taking place with members of the Guild, OTD and Vi Victrix. I think Belle is joining also.

There is no structure to it at all, really. There are no ranks and no leaders, and the only thing that holds the group together is a shared desire to dominate the tiers and crush the STW2fags with their 100+ member clans, all for the glory of the of the mightiest, most lulzworthy community: RTW.

Clans within VoR are completely independent. They don't have to like each other, and can even declare war on each other, just as before. Nobody is going to get kicked from the group for flaming/trolling/etc. Clans within the group will recruit and police their own members, just as before.

Thanks for the reply matey and it does paint the whole picture very well. I think the clan will take this on board when discussing it.
Has a forums been set up for vor btw? Also what news on Hos and Coh? Can all members regardless of how long they have played rome join?

HoS joined with TAoW for STW2, so they are already in the group. I'm not sure if CoH are on STW2 yet...Are they?

As for who can join, all members of the RTW clans can join, even if they were recruited in STW2. Splitting clans apart just because some of their members never played RTW would be bad. As for what clans can join, I don't personally see an issue with any clan of RTW joining, as long as they were part of the community and know most of the other clans. If clan admission became an issue though, rules would have to be agreed to by all the clans of VoR, democratically.

I would argue against trying to exclude clans just because they are disliked, however. Epic clan rivalries made RTW unique, and those rivalries ought to continue, even within the group.

One thing which hasn't been properly defined is how glory and victory works.

When the group starts to wtfpwn in tiers 1-2, the victories will be announced somewhere where all the n00bclans (our opponents) can see. (totalwar.com forums apppears to be the gathering point of the newbies at the moment). The victory will be claimed for all the RTW clans, which will be named one by one. All the participating clans will be linked to the thread so as to bask in the glory, troll our rivals, and affirm the dominance of the Roman community for all to see. It won't be a victory for VoR, but for all the clans within VoR.

To put it crudely, if you want to take your share of the glory, you simply have to be active in the post-victory gloating threads. You guys seem fairly active on your forums, so I don't think it will be a problem for you. ;D

But let us not delude ourselves. Unless the RTW clans unify in a single steam group, there will be no victories to gloat over. With the exception of the Russian/German clans, no single TW clan has the numbers neccessary to compete with the 500+ member clans in tiers 1 and 2. GERUDO reached tier 4 on it's own, and I can tell you this - for a clan with 5-10 active members (like most RTW clans), progress beyond tier 4 is impossible, even if your members play upwards of 6 hours a day. To even reach the lower ranks of tier 1 as a small clan would result in death from exhaustion.

Of course, it is possible to recruit 100s of members in order to progress. But then the RTW clans would lose their souls: instead of being the tight-knit, pro clans we always have been, we would become impersonal corporation-clans, where members are all equally ignored. (Moreover, the initial waves of STW2 players have already been recruited by existing ultra-clans).

CA really screwed small clans with this tier system. They basically ignored the multiplayer community all throughout RTW, and now they've introduced a system specifically designed to make RTW-style clans irrelevant. Noobish new STW2 clans with 500+ members dominate the tiers and think they are uber-pros, while having no conception of what the true TW community is, or what a true TW clan is.

Well, CA have underestimated the RTW community long enough, and so have the new STW2fags. If we pwn tier 1, we can make them both remember forever that the masters of TW are Roman.

RTW clans are superior in tactics, organization, and trolling. United, we can pwn tier 1. And then we can head to the forums to make sure the rest of the "community" never forgets the pwning they received at the hands of the masters of TW - the Roman clans.

That's why I took GERUDO into VoR.
